A rainwater harvesting system can be as simple as using a rain barrel or installing a large cistern. Rainwater harvesting is the practice of collecting and using rainwater from hard surfaces such as roofs for landscape irrigation or toilet flushing. About rain barrels: Materials: Rain Check uses clean, repurposed 55-gallon food-grade plastic barrels, which means they have been used in the past to carry food items or other non-toxic materials.
